Mr. Clyde "Bob" Herring, 106, of Route 3, Fulton, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Kingdom Nursing Home.
A retired carpenter, Mr. Herring had resided the last few years of his life at the nursing home.
He was born Aug. 24, 1873, to George and Josephine Allen Herring. His wife, Anna Sara, preceded him in death in 1969. He was also preceded by seven brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde C. Herring of San Laguna, Ca., and Arleigh Herring of Fulton; one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Maydean) Straw of Kansas City; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Herring will be conducted by the Rev. Allen Bartlett at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Mt. Carmel church cemetery. Visitation was scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Maupin Funeral Home.
