Fulton Gazette
Dr. James B. Houf, a thrifty farmer living two miles south of McCredie, and Miss Myrtle Robinson were married Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Robinson, one-half mile southwest of McCredie. The Rev. J.A. Tayor, pastor of the Fulton Baptist church, officiated.
A small company of relatives and close friends attended the event. After the ceremony an elaborate, old-fashioned wedding supper was served the guests by the mother of the bride.
The marriage unites two of the old and prominent families of the county. Dr. Houf is successful in his business undertakings and is valued by his acquaintances for his sturdy manhood. Mrs. Houf is on of the splendid young women of McCredie township and in every way is fitted to be his life companion. The Gazette joins other friends in congratulations.

Sale in Liberty Township
Dr.(?) J.B. Houf, of Hatton neighborhood, who sold his farm recently, held a sale of his live stock and farming effects last Thursday, that resulted in a realization of better values than he had anticipated. Col. I.W. Holman flourished the auctioneer's gavel for the occasion, and Dr. Houf served a good dinner at noon that lent zest to the crowd, and the bidding was good from start to finish.
