On 1870, Louis Christ, age 19, was living with this family, apprentice blacksmith. They also had a 20 yr old domestic servant.
I found a family living next door to Louis Judt in the 1870 census, named William Judt, also from Prussia or Germany. He was 47 years old and a cabinet maker. His wife was named Catherine, and they had one daughter at home, Amilia, age 17.

Administrator's Sale
Mr. W.E. Berghauser, administrator of the estate of Louis H. Judt, deceased, will sell on Monday, April 20, 1874, a lot of valuable blacksmith's tools.
Administrator's Sale
We call attention to the advertisement of W.E. Berghauser, administrator of the partnership estate of Judt & Jones. He will sell a lot of new plows, a new spring wagon, and a lot of blacksmith tools.
In the 1880 census, Mary E. listed as head of household. All children except Edith (Edna?) still at home.
In the 1890 census, I can only find the children John, Susan, and Minnie, living together in a house in Fulton.
1900 census, John, Susan, Minnie, Charles and Mary Forrestall, all living together. John is a clerk in a hardware store, Susan and Minnie both do millinery work, Charles draws a pension.
1910 census, John, Susan, Minnie, and Mary Forrestall living together in the house at 709 Nichols Street. Mary is a widow. John is a retail merchant, Minnie and Mary are dressmakers, Minnie is no longer working.
1920 census, all still living in the same house. John now is the proprietor of the hardware store, none of the ladies are working anymore. Living next door to the Judts are the Humphry Doerries family... the wife is Madora, daughter of Ebenezer Herring and Eliza Fletcher. She is the niece of Mary E. Herring Judt.
He is on the listing of Pioneer that was done in 1983. We did not find a headstone when we visited this cemetery in 2006.
