  • Notes
    • He was a farmer all his life. He lived in the same house, R.#6, Fulton for 80 years, and died at home. He was never in the military.

Mrs. Irene Willitt, of Fulton, his daughter, signed his death certificate. She gave Catherine Berghouser as his mother. On all census records, his mother's name is Mariah E. On his mother's death certificate, it says her name is Mary Carin Berghauser.. His death certificate also says he was buried in Hillcrest cemetery, Fulton. He may have been, his wife was originally buried somewhere else (possibly Hillcrest) and moved to Callaway Gardens. He is buried in Callaway Gardens also.

Found the announcement of a new cemetery to be built (this would be Callaway Memorial Gardens) in the newspaper right next to his obituary. The cemetery was still in the planning stages at the time of his death, His obit says he was buried in Hillcrest. We found their headstones in Callaway Mem. Gardens
