- Mrs. Mollie Hyten Dies Here Monday
Lifelong Resident of Callawy Succumbs after Long Illness
Mrs. Mollie Hyten, 75 years old, died at 10:00 Monday morning at 832 Center street in Fulton, where she had resided for the last several months. She had been in failing health for some time.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Christian Church in Fulton, where she was a member, at 3:00 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. B.C. Abraim of Columbia, acting pastor of the church, will conduct the services and burial will be in the Carrington cemetery.
The body will be at the Maupin Funeral Home on Court street until time for the funeral.
Mollie Price Herring was born June 10, 1864, five miles southwest of Fulton. She was a daughter of Dabney Carver and Mary Simcoe Herring. She was married to Hiram Hyten of Callaway county on February 28, 1883. He preceeded her in death of January 2, 1931. Mr. and Mrs. Hyten resided for many years on a farm, two and one-half miles east of Carrington.
Mrs. Hyten is survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Louellen Roberts and Mrs. Lucy Henderson of Fulton and Brooks Herring of Kansas City, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Hyten was a kind and solicitious neighbor and had lived a true Christian life. Her passing will bring regrets in many circles of Fulton and Callaway county.

- Mary Price Herring's husband was a nephew of Nancy Hyten who married John Carrington, son of Randolph Carrington. His parents were also related to the Allen, Boyd, and McDaniel families.
Her address at the time of her death was 832 Center Street, Fulton, Missouri.
