Joseph Herring, 70 years old, a former Callawegian, died this week at him hom in St. Charles, where he had been superintendent of the public schools for many years. Services were held in that city, and then the body was brought to Callaway and buried in Mount Carmel cemetery, south of Fulton

Also shows that one person in household is deaf and dumb, must be daughter because when she is not on census, that box is not checked. Living at 717 Jefferson St. St. Charles 1920 census shows they have taken in an orphan, James Clayton, 3 1/2 years old. Their daughter is not on 1920. He lived at 717 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, Missouri, he died at home. Sterling and Luddie Davidson were brother and sister, and they married Joseph and Virgina Herring who were brother and sister.
