Notes |
- She lived at 1244 N. Main Street, Nevada, Vernon Co., Missouri at the time of her death. She died at home. Her son, Med Craighead gave the information for her death certificate. His address was also Nevada, Missouri.
Her parents were John Klingman and Latica (Morgen or Wilson), both originally of Virginia. Her birth date is given as April 2, 1850, which is probably not correct. She was listed as 2 years old with a younger sister in 1850. Death cert. says she was born in Virginia, but she was born in Callaway Co., Missouri.
According to the Cra(i)ghead book, Alfred died early and left 2 or 3 children who lived with various families. The Cra(i)ghead researchers were not able to trace the children or even name them. Rex and Med Craghead's birth certificates named their parents which is how I connected him.
I am a bit confused about the above however, because their mother lived a long time and son Med lived either with her or very near her when she died in 1932. I don't know why the family could not be traced or why the Craighead book had no information about their mother.
The last name of her mother, and Catherine's date of birth is a bit off. Could have been a transcription error on the marriage of her parents. See their information.
