• Notes	From the book, A History of Callaway County Missouri, 1884; which is not always accurate: Henry Cave, Sr., the grandfather of the subject of this sketch, emigrated from Scott county, Kentucky, with his family, in 1816, to Boone county Missouri, where he entered a section of land and improved a farm. He lived there until his death, which occurred in 1848.
