    • Charles B. Hamilton Dead.
      Charles B. Hamilton, aged 72 years, a farmer residing south of Bachelor, died of pneumonia Monday afternoon after a short illness. Funeral services were conducted at Old Auxvasse Presbyterian church, of which he was a member, by Rev. Sam G. Wood, of Auxvasse, Wednesday afternoon, and burial was in the church cemetery.

      Mr. Hamilton was born in northeast Callaway January 24, 1839. His first wife was Miss Laura Pasley, of this county. To this union were born two children, one of whom survives, Mrs. James P. Shelton, of Bachelor. Later he married Miss Shelton and to them were born five children, as follows: Mrs. Charles Kemp, Bachelor; Mrs. Samuel Price, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Price Laws, Brookville, Kan.; Coley Hamilton, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and John Hamilton, Bachelor. Two brothers and one half sister also mourn his death.

      He was an honorable useful citizen, who, though not widely known, had many friends and was esteemed for his good qualities.
