He married Nettie Belle Thomason on Aug. 11, 1904 in Callaway Co., Missouri. She was a daughter of James B. Thomason and Elizabeth Vaughn.…

      He was a blacksmith at the time of his death. His parents were William Holmes and Elizabeth Bybee. He lived in Guthrie, Missouri his entire life. Floyd W. Holmes of 7335 Barrie Street, Jacksonville, Florida, gave the information for his death certificate.

      He was the uncle of my great uncle Grover Herring's wife, Rose Baysinger Herring.
