    • Harvey Howe, 77 years of age, died at his home three miles southwest of Fulton, on Wednesday, February 1, 1905, his death being caused by blood-poison resulting from a tumor back of his ear. He leaves a widow and a daughter, Mrs. Mollie Thomas. Burial occurred at Mr. Carmel churchyard, Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock, services being conducted by Rev. C.W. Collett. The deceased was a good citizen and a man held in high esteem by his neighbors.

      A listing of Mt. Carmel cemetery lists his date of death as Jan. 31, 1905. This is probably what is on his headstone. However, the obituary in the newspaper very clearly states he died on Feb. 1, 1905.
