    • He married his 1st cousin.

      They adopted and reared Williard Holman (nephew of Malinda) son of Phillip and Minerva Howe Holman, she having died shortly after childbirth from convulsions brought on by putting her feet into a tub of cold water brought by a servant. Willard b. 1867, d. 30 Mar. 1930, St.Louis, mar Ruth Poor. Aunt Lindy, very large, fell off porch at Grandma Sallie Howe Caldwell's, and was laid up for about 10 years before she died. May Caldwell lived with her for a number of years. Her story - Aunt Lindie bemoaned the fact that grandma had 7 children, all daughters, and she had none, asked grandma to give her one, said "I will give you May"....Research of Margaret (Corbin) Lutz
