    • Norma Jean Maddox, 70, Jefferson City, died June 3, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

      She was born May 4, 1929, in Callaway County, a daughter of Paul O. and Betty Farmer Goodman. She was married June 14, 1946, in Fulton , to Clarence C. "Hap" Maddox, who survives at the home.

      A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she attended Fulton High School. She worked for Kroger's store and later with Sears for several years. She also owned and operated Granny's Gourmet Catering Co. for more than 20 years until she retired in 1998.

      She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

      Other survivors include: three daughters, Brenda Dillane and Debbie Schrimpf, both of Jefferson City, and Beverly Sheridan, Steamboat, Colo.; one son, Gary Maddox, Jefferson City; two sisters, Lois Martin, Kansas City, Kan., and Carolyn Beers, state of Kansas; and 10 grandchildren.

      Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. C.D. Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton .

      Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Freeman Mortuary.
