- B. Frank Blackmore Passes In Fulton
Former Resident of Dixie Neighborhood Died Here Thursday
B. Frank Blackmore, 83 years old, a native of Callaway county, but in recent years a resident of Montgomery county, died in Fulton, at 3:00 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, after an illness of more than a year.
Funeral services will be held at the Bethany Baptist church, in Montgomery county at 2:00 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, and burial will be in the cemetery at that place.
Mr. Blackmore, lived most of his life in the Liberty church neighborhood, east of Dixie, in this county, where he followed the occupation of farming. About 20 years ago he moved to Montgomery county and located at Garret's Mill, which is in the vicinity of Americus.
During the last several years Mr. and Mrs. Blackmore have been making their home with their children, spending several months with each. At the present time, Mrs. Ernest Blackmore, at Columbia.
Mr. Blackmore is survived by his wife, who is a sister of Mrs. S.H. Powell and Oscar Nichols of Fulton. He also leaves five children: Ernest and Marvin Blackmore, of Columbia, Charles Blackmore of Wellsville, Mrs. Jack Young of Montgomery county, and Mrs. Clarence Vaughn of Elk City, Okla.
Mr. Blackmore wil be remembered by many of the older residents especially in the southern part of the county, as an industrious and thrifty man, a good neighbor and friend.
Mr. Blackmore was a member of the Methodist Church.
