  	John Henry Hatcher, 83, of Mexico died today, Dec 9, 1999 at his home in Mexico. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev Rick Smith officiating. Burial will be in Auxvasse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM tomight at the funeral home. There will be an Odd Fellows service at 6:30 PM. Mr Hatcher was born on March 27, 1916 in Bentley, North Dakota, a son of Samuel Lee and Gillie Mae Hatcher. He was married on April 23, 1938 in Rolla, Missouri, to Mary C Helming. She died on August 23, 1994. He had worked as a mechanic at Roberson Motor Company in Mexico until his retirement in the late 60s. He had also operated Hatcher Automotive from the early 70s until the late 80s. Mr Hatcher was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mexico and the Mexico IOOF Lodge #99. His survivors include on son, Gerald Joseph Hatcher and his wife, Bonnie Kathleen Hatcher, of Herr, St Louis; two grandchildren Mrs Kurt Roussin, St Louis, and Anthony Wayne Hatcher, Chesterfield; great grandson, Nathan Tyler Roussin. He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a son, John William Hatcher. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Control Program at Audrain Medical Center.
