Notes |
- He was a son of Moses H. McCue and Sarah Steele of Augusta Co., Virginia
from the book: The McCues of the Old Dominion
Mr. McCue was educated at Lexington, Va., directed his attention toward agriculture and stock raising upon reaching Missouri; he removed to Auxvasse in 1888, and in the spring of the next year, he purchased an interest in the firm "Harrison & McCue," but at length he bought land near town, and became interested in thoroughbred sheep and hogs. In the latter he has made quite a success. He has taken sweepstakes on his herd of Berkshires at State Fair, Sedalia; Kansas City Royal; at St. Louis Exposition, (1904), and elsewhere. He has sold fine hogs in nearly every state in the Union.
