ALBERT BOGGS KIDWELL DEAD
Albert Boggs Kidwell, one of the best known men in Jackson Township, died at his home five miles northeast of Auxvasse, Monday morning, November 13, 1911, after a long and painful illness of cancer of the stomach and bowels.
He was a son of W. R. and Mary Wheeler Kidwell, and was born at Williamsburg, Callaway County, Missouri, September 14, 1849, being 62 years and 2 months of age at the time of his death.
He was married to Miss Mollie Givens, daughter of David R. Givens, who was killed at his home by Federal troops during the war, who survives him. To this union three children were born. They are Eugene Campbell and Lewis Kidwell and Mrs. Lillian Rose Hamilton, all living in this vicinity. In 1877 he purchased the Dishman farm of 330 acres on which he lived until death called him home. He was a member of the Auxvasse Methodist church and was numbered among our very best citizens and will be sadly missed by his family, relatives and friends. He was a kind and indulgent father, a devoted husband and an excellent neighbor.
Besides his wife and three children he leaves six sisters and two brothers to mourn his death They are Mesdames George Yates; Mary W. Gilbert, C. A. McCue, D. Hunter, Chas, R. Adams and John Yates and William Z. and Randolph Kidwell.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. B. A. McKnight after which the remains were laid to rest in the Martin Graveyard, south of Auxvasse.
