    • The following is from the Pioneer Families of Missouri book written in 1876, which is not always accurate:
      John D., brother of Isaac, also settled in Callaway Co. The latter was married first to SALLY PARNELL, and second to MARGARET HENDERSON

      From the History of Callaway County 1884 book, which is not always accurate:
      John W. Howe (his son) was born in Fleming county Kencucky, September 26, 1837. His father, J.D. and mother, Margaret A. (Henderson) Howe, were also natives of Kentucky, who removed to Missouri in 1846 and located in Callaway county on a farm near where Mr. John W. now resides.

      John D. Howe was born in N. Carolina and removed to Mt. Sterling, Ky. 1793; m (1st) Sarah Ann Purnell who d Jan. 1833. In 1847 he, with his second family, came to Callaway Co., Mo., where he farmed and also worked at the cobbler's trade.
