    • Phillip Douglas Byrd, 54, of Sunrise Beach, formally of Auxvasse, died May 30, 2008.

      He was born in Shamrock to Lewis and Martha Erwin Byrd. He married Sandra McDermott on Novrmber 4, 1972.

      Survivors include two daughters, Stacy Applebee of Mexico and Kimberly Finton of Jefferson City, six grandchildren, two brothers, George Byrd of Sunrise Beach and Larry Byrd Sr. of Auxvasse, two sisters, Ruth (Sissy) Edwards and Hazel Lawson of Sunrise Beach, a special friend, Brenda Dudley of Columbia amd numerous neices, nephews and cousins.

      Services are 7PM Thursday at Grand Prairie Babtist Church in Auxvasse. Memorials are suggested to the Phillip Byrd Memorial Fund.

    • His parents were Lewis and Martha Erwin Byrd.
      I see his wife named in his obit has a different maiden name than what I have. Not sure this is a mixup, I'm sure he married Sandra Elizabeth Cuno, my cousin. If anyone who sees this has more facts about his wife I would appreciate information.
