Fulton Mute Dead.
William Humphreys, aged 48 years, a deaf mute, died at the home of his brother-in-law, James Malone, in Oak street, at midnight Tuesday, after an illness of four days from what seemed to be a spinal trouble. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon by Rev. C.B. Duncan and interment was in the old city cemetery.
He was born near Dixie, this county. Four sisters and one brother mourn his death. They are Mrs. James Malone and Mrs. J.M. Dillard, of Fulton; Mrs. Theodore Lockridge, of Farmington; Miss Alice Humphreys, of St. Louis, and George H. Humphreys, of New Bloomfield.
