    • Beulah B. Bartz Vandeloecht was born April 15, 1916 in Crofton, Nebraska, to Otto and Lillian Yonke Bartz. In 1921, the family traveled to Missouri by train to buy a farm in the Steedman, Missouri, area. In 1933, she was united in marriage to Emerson Ray Vandeloecht who preceded her in death on March 16, 1976.
      She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Acree and husband Glenn Acree, of Fulton, Missouri; two granddaughters, Debra Lynn Harris of Fulton, Missouri and Julie Dee Arnett and husband, Richard, of Columbia, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Glenn Overton Harris and wife,m Natasha, of Fulton, Missourim Brianne Nicole Arnett and Cory Justin Arnett, of Columbia, Missouri; and one step great great grandson, Joshua Fowler; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arnold, and a grandson, Jeffrey Edward Acree.
      Beulah worked at the local Shoe Factory for 15 years until it closed. She also worked for the Gambles Appliance and Furniture Store until her husband's illness. Beulah and her husband owned and operated a farm in the Steedman-Reform area until they sold and moved to Fulton in 1975. She later worked for Radio Shack before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the United Methodist Church; was a member of the Four Corner's Extension Club, a lifetime member of the Callaway Chapter of the American Red Cross, a member of the Fulton Garden Club, and volunteered at area bloodmobiles for many years. She loved her family, gardening, crafts, and sewing.
      Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Bruce Williamson and Rev. Jennifer Turick officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Callaway County American Red Cross or Charity of the Donot's Choice, c/o Maupin Funeral Home.
