- Cecil Lawrence English, 87, Calwood, died Jan. 22, 2003, at Columbia Regional Hospital.
He was born Feb. 14, 1915, in Bachelor, a son of Millard F. and Bertie Qualls English. He was married Aug. 6, 1936, in Eldon, to Martha Schaefer, who survives at the home.
He worked for Auxvasse Stone & Gravel Company, was an administrator for Kingdom Nursing Home, Fulton, and was an insurance agent. He was a veteran of World War II, receiving a Bronze Star.
Other survivors include one son, Phil English, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Walter Lockhart will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the Ebenezer Church Cemetery Fund.
