- Helen Kassebaum Tureman, 88, southwest Kansas City, died Nov. 5, 1992, at the home. Services will be private. Friends may call from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Jensen Jr., Prairie Village. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital, to the Wesley Fund of Kingswood Manor or to Hospice Care of Mid-America.
Mrs. Tureman was a charter member of the Westport chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of the University Club and the Kansas City Country Club. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
She was a lifelong area resident.
Her first husband, Leonard Kassebaum, died in 1952. Her second husband, Robert W. Tureman, treasurer of Children's Mercy Hospital for 20 years, died in 1975. Survivors include a son, John Philip Kassebaum, Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Linda Kassebaum Jensen, Prairie Village; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
