    • His grave was the first to bear a marker, in the Old Auxvasse Cemetery.

      Mr. and Mrs. Henderson emigrated to Callaway Co., Mo., in 1823, and purchased their first Missouri land from Chas. Younger, grand-father of the noted Younger Boys of the Civil War. Daniel Henderson operated a grist and lumber water mill on the Auxvasse creek a short distance from his house.
