    • Lou Ella Zumwalt, 87, Coal Valley, Ill., formerly of New Bloomfield, died Oct. 12, 1999, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
      She was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Searsboro, Iowa, a daughter of Charles and Ollie Titcomb Myers. She was married Nov. 28, 1931, in Lancaster, to Marvin Clay Zumwalt, who died Dec. 8, 1973.
      She worked as an assembler at International Harvester and as a hairdresser, both in East Moline, Ill. She also sold real estate. She was a member of Moline Gospel Temple, where she taught Sunday school.
      She is survived by one brother, Homer P. Myers, Silvis, Ill.
      Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in New Bloomfield Cemetery. The Rev. Bridgette Sullenger will officiate.
