- Mrs. Patrick Grogan Dead.
Mrs. Patrick Grogan, 61 years old, died at her home in St. Louis Saturday evening after a lingering illness with cancer. Mrs. Grogan, whose maiden name was Carter, was born and reared in Fulton. After her marriage to Mr. Grogan, about 30 years ago, she moved to St. Louis and afterward made that city her home. Her husband died about four years ago.
She is survived by two sons and five daughters, John and Patton Grogan, Mrs. John Roach and the Misses Sybil, Stella, Lucille, and Alma Grogan, all of St. Louis. Her son, John and son-in-law, John Roach, are patrolmen in the St. Louis police department. Mrs. Grogan is also survived by three sisters, Miss Bettie Carter, of Fulton, Mrs. Nannie Powell, of California, and Mrs. Mary Calvert, of Brown's station.
The body of Mrs. Grogan was brought to Fulton Tuesday morning, accompanied by relatives, and funeral services were held in the Christian church immediately after the arrival of the morning train, Rev. T.E. Winter officiating. Burial occurred in the new cemetery. Mrs. Grogan was a sister of the late William R. and John R. Carter, well-known to the people of Fulton.

Funeral Services from Christian Church Fulton Tuesday Morning
The remains of Mrs. Ellen Grogan, the widow of the late Pat Grogan, came in on the morning train from St. Louis and the funeral services were held at the First Christian church at 9:30 a.m. Services were conducted by Rev. T.E. Winter, pastor of that church. Interment in the New Cemetery of this city.
Mrs. Grogan was a sister of the late John and Will Carter of this city. Three sisters of Mrs. Grogan are now living, mainly, Miss Bettie Carter of this city, Mrs. Nannie Powell of California, and Mrs. Mary Calvert of Brown Station, Mo.
