- Mrs. W.H. Gibbs Dead.
Mrs. Louisa Gibbs, 63 yars old, wife of William H. Gibbs, died at the family home, two miles west of Guthrie, Satuday, and was buried at Dry Fork Baptist church Sunday, after funeral services by the Rev. C.A. Mitchell, of Mexico. She had been afflicted with spinal trouble forty years and it caused her death.
Mrs. Gibb's maiden name was Brooks and she was born near Guthrie on October 2, 1948. She was married to Mr. Gibbs on May 25, 1865. One daughter, Mrs. W.H. Wilkerson, of Guthrie, was born to the union. Eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one half sister and two half brothers mourn her passing.
Mrs. Gibbs united with Dry Fork Baptist church in 1863 during a revival conducted by the Rev. Dr. W.H. Burnham, of this city. Her pastor says of her: "Her life as a Christian was commendable and above reproach. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed in the church and community, and especially in her home."
