- Mrs. Georgianna Brandon Dead
Mrs. Georgianna Brandon, 76 years old, died Saturday morning at her home in Grand street. Mrs. Brandon had been in declining health several years and her death was due to the infirmities of old age and several contributary causes.
Mrs. Brandon, whose maiden name was Herring, was born south of Fulton in 1835. She was twice married, the first time to William Ewing, who died in 1876, and the second time to Frances Brandon, who died about 20 years ago. No children were born of either union.
Mrs. Brandon is survived by five brothers and two sisters as follows: James E. Herring, of Columbia; Martin Luther Herring, of Monroe county; W.H. Herring, G.W. Herring and W.D. Herring, of Fulton; Mrs. M.A. Gannaway, of St. Louis; and Mrs. C.C. Craghead, of Calwood.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon in the Fulton Christian church, the Rev. T.E. Winter officiating, and burial was in the old cemetery by the side of her first husband.

Notes |
- According to the 1850 census and the Callaway County marriage records, William Ewing had previously been married to Lucy Ann Maupin. They had 5 children, Nancy J. (born 1846), Jacob (born 1849), Henry (born 1850), Sarah B. (born 1852), and George (born 1854). Lucy Ann died sometime between 1854 and 1859.
William Ewing died 1876. I do not find any records that they had any children. I do think that Georgia Anne raised William and Lucy's children.
