W I L L I, John G. Carter of the City of Fulton, County of Callaway and State of Missouri being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. First. I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be promptly paid out of my estate. I have the following named children, John R. Carter, Wllliam R. Carter, Martha E. Carter, Sarah E. Grogan, Mary M. Calbert and Nancy E. Powell. Second. I will devise and bequeath to my children John R. Carter, William R. Carter, Sarah E. Grogan, Mary M. Calbert and Nancy E. Powell the sum of one dollar each as their full share of my entire estate. Third. I will devise and bequeath to my daughter, Martha E. Carter, all the remainder and residue of my estate, whether real, personal or mixed and of every kind and discription as her absolute property for her sole use and benefit, and hereby request that all the property and effects obtained under this will by my daughter Martha E. Carter that she may own at the time of her death shall be equally divided between my children above named. Fourth. I hereby appoint my daughter Martha E. Carter Executrix of this my last will and request that she be allowed to serve as such without bond. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this April 3d A.D.1905. John G. State of Missouri ) Before the Judge of Probate in vacation, (SS County of Callaway ) Monday February 24th A.D.1908. Be it remembered that on this 24th day of February A.D.1908 before me S.P. Beaven,J udge and ex-officic Olerk of Probate Court within and for Callaway County, Missouri, personally appeared J.A. Dickinson and John M. Bryan, who, being by me duly sworn on their oaths severally depose and say that they were present and saw John G. Carter sign the attached instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of him, the said John G. Carter, and heard him publish, pronounce and proclaim the said instrument of writing to be his last will and testament and that at the time of publishing said instrument of writing, he,the said John G. Carter was over the age of 21 years and of sound mind and disposing memory to the best information, observation and belief of these deponents and that they subscribed their names to said instrument of writing as witnesses to the same in the presence of the testator and in the presence of each other and at the special instance and request of the said John G.Carter, now Deceased.
