Jefferson City News-Tribune, March 14, 2001, Bobby Lee Dunavant, 68, Fulton, died March 12, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia. He was born Aug. 12, 1932, in Fulton, a son of William Sr. and Gladys Grimm Dunavant. He was married July 2, 1951, in Fulton, to Bonnie Hall, who survives at the home. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by the city of Fulton as assistant supervisor of the power plant for more than 32 years, retiring in 1995. In 1970, he owned and operated a roofing and painting business. After he retired he operated a small engine repair shop. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was in the choir. He also served as deacon, song leader and youth leader at Hallsville Church of God Holiness. Other survivors include: four daughters, Brenda Bulson, New Bloomfield, and Kathy Crowson, Lisa Wilson and Darla Durham, all of Fulton; one brother, Ralph Dunavant, Fulton; two sisters, Faye Zillig and Anna Lee Newman, both of Fulton; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Crowson will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. |
