Maupin Funeral Home Obituary, 21 Dec. 2008, James "Jim" Price Craighead, age 96, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008, at The Bluffs, Columbia, Missouri. He was born in Callaway County on November 4, 1912, to State Ira Davis-Craighead and Solomon Augustus Craighead. He married Mildred Howison on November 27, 1937. She preceded him in death. Survivors include two grandchildren, Karen Beth Wilson and Daniel Roger Tate; two great-grandchildren; one son in-law, Roger Tate; one brother, Clayton C. Craighead of Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Joyce Craighead-Tate, four brothers, G. Elton, H.A., H.D., Ray S., two sisters, Chloe Hazel Parker and Mae Dean Giboney. Jim was a life long resident of Callaway County, Missouri, where he ran a livestock trucking business and farm. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2008, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Reverend Ed Varnum officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, Missouri. |
