Callaway Weekly Gazette, 26 Nov. 1880, On November 21st, 1880, at the residence of his son-in-law, John Maloney, 3 1/2 miles east of Fulton, of pneumonia, after a brief illness, Stephen Craghead, aged 73 years. Uncle Stephen was born in Bedford county, Virginia, and emigrated to this county with his father, Robert Craghead, in 1818. -- He raised a family of seven children, all of whom are grown. He married Nancy Blount, a sister of Capt. Blount of this city. She died about a year ago -- The funeral was preached at Ham's Prairie --.
