Columbia Daily Tribune, August 13, 1998, Ovid H. Bell of Fulton died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at First Presbyterian Church in Fulton with the Rev. Frank Ehman officiating. Visitation will follow services in the church fellowship hall. There will be a private family burial. Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Mr. Bell was born in Fulton to Ovid and Maude Hall Bell. He married Martha Nichols, and she survives. Mr. Bell owned Ovid Bell Press in Fulton. He graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., in 1939, and served in the Army Signal Corp OSS during World War II. He served as an elder at the First Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the board of trustees at Westminster College, of the board of education for Fulton Public Schools and of the Fulton Board of Public Works. Survivors also include two daughters, Mary Bell of Atlanta and Jane Bell of Fulton; a son, John Bell of Fulton; and 10 grandchildren. Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Fulton, to Westminster College in Fulton or to the charity of the donor's choice.
