Myrtle Herring was the fourth child of George Washington Herring Jr. and Josima McNerva Allen. She was born 1878 in Callaway Co. Missouri. Myrtle was my grandaunt. Myrtle married William P. Divers on Feb 21, 1901 in Pitcher, Callaway Co., Missouri. William was born about 1866 in Callaway Co. Missouri. He was a son of Aquilla Divers and Mary Cheatham. Myrtle Herring and William Divers had two children:
On the 1900 census, this family was living in St. Louis. In 1910, still in St. Louis, William was working as a stockman. Myrtle died April 10, 1970 in Lakewood, Ocean Co., New Jersey. I have no other information about this family. |
