James W. Fletcher was my great granduncle. He was born in
Callaway Co. Missouri in 1840, a son of John F. Fletcher and Judith Simco. He was a grandson of John Sr. and Mary Fletcher. They came from Virginia to Callaway Co. Missouri about 1826.
On May 19, 1864, he married Nancy Ann Hayes in Audrain Co. Missouri.
Nancy Ann Hayes was born about 1836 in Missouri, and died after 1900. Her parents were born in Kentucky.
James Fletcher and Nancy Ann Hayes had seven children, I've only found records for five:

- Judith C. Fletcher, b: abt 1871, Audrain Co., Missouri.

- Rosa B. Fletcher, b: abt 1876, Audrain Co., Missouri, d: after 1930, buried Elmwood cemetery, Mexico, Audrain Co., Missouri.
- married abt. 1894, Marchie M. Brown, b: Jan. 9, 1870, Audrain Co., Missouri, d: June 28, 1922, Montgomery Co., Missouri, buried Elmwood cemetery, Mexico, Audrain Co., Missouri.

In 1900 they lived in Salt River, Audrain Co., Missouri. Her mother lived with them. In 1910 I have not found them at all. In 1920, they lived in Cuivre, Pike Co., Missouri. Marchie died in 1922 in Montgomery Co., Missouri. In 1930, Rosa was living in Salt River, Audrain Co., Missouri with her sons John F. and Phillip. I have not found a death record for Rosa, but she is on a listing in Elmwood cemetery.

James was a farmer in Salt River township, Audrain, Missouri. In 1885, his father, (my 2nd great grandfather) John F. Fletcher, came to live with them until his death in December of 1885.
James W. Fletcher died between 1880 and 1900. Nancy Ann Hyes Fletcher died between 1900 and 1910. She lived with her daughter Rosa and family after James death. They are both buried in Elmwood cemetery, Mexico, Audrain Co., Missouri.
